Our Content Provider The National Jazz Archive (UK) holds the UK’s finest collection of written and visual jazz-related material, along with an important collection of ‘oral history’ recordings.
The Archive is looking to grow its team of volunteers to assist with:
– Cataloguing
– Digitising
– Transcribing
– Preservation
– Website and digital media
– Exhibitions
– Running events
Knowledge of jazz is not a prerequisite for working with us. Volunteers will be available to attend the main Archive, based in Loughton, Essex. There is also a satellite Archive, based in the city centre campus of Birmingham City University. There are also opportunities to work remotely.
This is a great opportunity to develop and hone skills, either alone or working alongside others.
Applications by email to Angela Davies, the Archive volunteer organiser: adavies@nationaljazzarchive.org.uk. Please also cc: chair@nationaljazzarchive.org.uk
