#Borders: the Viipuri province in Finland

The #Borders we talk about today is the one of the Viipuri province in Finland, in 1925.

The province existed from 1812 to 1945, and it was contended with Russia and Finland for many years. Vyborg for example, at the very centre of the map, is now Russian – the whole map of the area is available on #archivesportaleurope, you can play around with Google Maps to spot the differences:
