Seminar: How digital archives change history research, the case of Sardinia

Archives Portal Europe, in collaboration with King’s College London, is organising a seminar on Wednesday 12 February in the afternoon (h. 14:00-17:00 in room S3.05, in the Strand Building), on the topic ‘How digital archives change history research – the case of Sardinia’.

The speakers will be Kerstin Arnold (Archives Portal Europe), talking about Archives Portal Europe: opening up a continent’s history to the world; Stella Barbarossa (University of Cagliari), talking about the Archives of the Sardinian Action Party: problems & opportunities of ingesting in Archives Portal Europe; Arianna Ciula (King’s Digital Lab), talking about experimenting in an Art and Humanities Research Infrastructure: the KDL Experience; Erica Luciano (University of Cagliari), talking about Digital Humanities and Public History: a new approach to the history of contemporary Sardinia; and Kristen Schuster (King’s College London), talking about  Semantics and Syntax: Finding, sharing and using digital cultural heritage.

Participation is free.
