Icepops: International Copyright-Literacy Event with Playful Opportunities for Practitioners and Scholars in Cardiff

Cardiff (UK), 7 July 2020

The Icepops conference will be held on Tuesday 7th July 2020 at the Park Inn Hotel, Cardiff and is being supported by the Welsh Higher Education Libraries Forum (WHELF).

Devised by Chris Morrison and Jane Secker (the UK Copyright Literacy team) and run in conjunction with the CILIP Information Literacy Group, the day will include keynote speakers, a world café, lightning talks and much more!

This year’s themes will include copyright education, games and play, copyright and cultural heritage, Open GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) creativity and the relationship of copyright literacy to information literacy and scholarly communication and building copyright literacy communities: nationally and internationally.

A full programme will be issued in March or April 2020 following a call for contributions.

Bookings for Icepops 2020 will open in January 2020. Costs: £125 + VAT for a full price ticket. The fee for the day will include all refreshments, lunch and an evening social. A discounted price of £100 + VAT per ticket is available for speakers, students and members of CILIP. (speakers to contact us for the discount code).

The call for speakers for Icepops 2020 is now open until Monday 24th February 2020. They will be looking for lightning talks, world cafe presenters, posters and other creative formats.
