Camerino State Archives, Camerino (Italy), 11 October 2019 – 15 January 2020
The Italian State Archives in Camerino are hosting a free exhibition until January 2020 on the glocal history of this Central Italy area, which has contributed to the European technological know-how on paper and textile manufacturing since the early Middle Ages.
Inspired by an article by Mark Augè from 2016, which defined Central Italy as the heart of Europe, this exhibition reconstructs the importance of the Appennino area not just for Italy, but for the Old Contintent as a whole – a reflection made more urgent by the October 2016 earthquake .
