Gopcevich Palace, Trieste (Italy) – until the 13th October
The exhibition “Posing Cinema – photographs from the Art History Museum in Trieste” will allow to discover the art and business of film-making in Trieste from 1945 until the early 1960s. During the golden dawn of Italian cinema,Trieste was far from being a peripheral actor within the country – this free exhibition documents both the films shot in Trieste, as well as cinema goers and the important theatres that populated the town, and that often no longer exists, substituted by gyms, supermarkets, shops – an experiment in personal and collective history in one of the most interesting Italian cities.
